The IMODI project was launched by the French President, Francois Hollande
- Develop innovative predictive cancer models (CTIBIOTECH and partners)
- Organize and standardise collection of fresh human cancer samples
- Creation of a biobank of Cancer biopsies, cells and models (at CTIBIOTECH)
- Model the tumor microenvironment using mouse models (with CTIBIOTECH)
- Study the role of the microbiome and gut flora in the initiation, the progression and the sensitivity to treatment in Cancer
- Create a database of information on Cancer in the IMODI project
- Datamine all information from the IMODI project and beyond to advance therapy
- Advance new drugs towards personalised medicine
The project will start with 9 main cancer areas:
Breast – Colorectal -Leukemia – Liver -Lung -Lymphoma -Myeloma – Ovarian -Pancreas -Prostate
